Colin Bryar Seattle, Washington
Colin Bryar began his career at Oracle Corporation designing and building software. After leaving Oracle in 1996, he co-founded Server Technologies Group to build e-commerce software for the, then nascent, World Wide Web. Later, the company was acquired by Amazon.com.
With Amazon.com, Mr. Bryar has spent the last twelve years in a number of technology leadership roles.
These include starting the Amazon Web Services business, and most recently serving as a Vice President and General Manager at The Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon. He has a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Engineering from Cornell University.
Mr. Bryar joined the Board of Directors of the Children's Tumor Foundation in 2010 and currently serves on the Development and Public Awareness and Education committees. He was recruited to the Board by his college roommate and fellow Board member, John McCarthy, whose daughter has NF1.
Mr. Bryar lives in Seattle with his wife and two young children.
