RECENT EVENTS:

Little Rock Marathon

Over 40 participants and 20 volunteers helped the NF Endurance team raise awareness of NF in Arkansas and raised $21,000 for NF Research. It was a great time for participants, volunteers, and local NF Families to united and support the mission of the CTF.

NF Symposium

The NF Symposium held at Arkansas Children’s Hospital featured:

An Introduction to Neurofibromatosis" by Rolla Shbarou, M.D. (Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology- Arkansas Children’s Hospital);

"Management of Tumors" by Laura Kleese, M.D.(Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center)

"Local Resources" by Carrie Smith, LMSW
 

Race Across America

In June of 2011, 2 Arkansas families and members of the NF Endurance Team participated in the Race Across American. 4 men rode their bikes from California to Maryland in 8 days, 5 hours, & 1 minute as their 12 person crew supported them along the way. The team raised $50,000 for NF Research!

THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THIS YEAR'S GALA!  This was a huge success raising more than $75,000!!! Thank you so much to all those who supported this event!

Red Carpet for Research - Dancing with Our Stars Gala

March 31st:  NF Night at US Pizza Co in Conway (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM): 10% of sales are donated to NF Research.

May 15th:  Bowlathon at Conway Bowling Alley to benefit NF Research through the NF Endurance team that is participating in the Race Across America. Send a message if you need more information or want to join us! Teams ($500 per team) or individual bowl $50 (fundraising or personal donation). Includes bowling for 2 hours, shoes,  BBQ lunch & Beverages!

May 22nd:  Stoby's Pancake breakfast to benefit NF Research. $5.00 all you can eat pancakes!

Members of the AR chapter participated and supported the NF Endurance Team at the LR Marathon. They enjoyed meeting each other at a team pasta party and also presented the NF Clinic at Arkansas Children’s Hospital a check for $26,048.

The check represented funds that we’ve raised to date for the clinic! Great job Arkansas!

We had 40 runners and 45 volunteers at the LR Marathon to raise awareness of NF. Our team raised $10,000 for NF Research.
