Young Professional Group Forming The Missouri CTF Chapter is forming a Young Professional (YP) Group for individuals in the 18-26 age range. The goal of the YP group will be to raise funds and increase public awareness of NF, and to provide opportunities for the YP’ers to connect with the youth and host events for the youth of the Chapter. Potential events may include college concerts, wine tasting/auction, progressive dinner parties, mixers, etc. Please contact Ashley Meyer at (314) 583-2365 or (636) 861-2365 for more information.
UPCOMING EVENTS: STLPCA POKER RUNThe St. Louis Region, Porsche Club of America (STLPCA) is hosting their annual Poker Run on Sunday, May 20th, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , the proceeds of which will benefit the Missouri Chapter of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. A continental breakfast will be available during registration. Join us for a day of fun as we spin through a beautifully scenic route, with three (3) scheduled checkpoints along the way, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. Prizes will be awarded for the best hands, so don’t miss out! Plans provide a chance to spend the day with our friends from the STLPCA and will include a late lunch with attendance prizes at the last stop along the route. You don’t have to be an ace at poker to participate; it’s more about enjoying the ride, relaxing and having some fun. Saturday, August 11, 2012 for the Third Annual St. Louis, MO NF Walk!The Children's Tumor Foundation is currently forming teams and recruiting volunteers to participate in the Second Annual NF Walk at beautiful Clydesdale Park in St. Louis, MO! Last year supporters gathered at this amazing community walk event to network, meet other families affected by NF and raise awareness…AND $2,000 for neurofibromatosis research! We hope to raise even more this year, but we can’t do it without you! For more information on this year’s walk, volunteer opportunities or to REGISTER, click here. Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Registration gets you a free Children’s Tumor Foundation t-shirt that you can wear on walk day. SAVE THE DATE! STLPCA ALL PORSCHE AUTO SHOWPlease save the date of September 16th on your calendar. The St. Louis Region, Porsche Club of America is hosting their All Porsche Auto Show from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield, MO. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Missouri Chapter of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. It will be held in the Courtyard of the museum, with vintage to modern Porsche sports cars on display throughout the day. There is no entry fee, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Please consider volunteering your time at this exciting event. PAST EVENTS: Go! St. Louis MarathonAre you interested in turning the streets neon at the Go! St. Louis marathon and half marathon in downtown St. Louis? You can sign up to join the Children’s Tumor Foundation NF Endurance team for the race which takes place on Sunday, April 15th. There is no fundraising minimum to join the team, just a $25 team registration fee. If you commit to raising $500, the Children’s Tumor Foundation will reimburse you for your race entry fee. Athletes will be available for autographs and pictures throughout the evening, and exciting silent and live auctions will also take place! An evening full of festivities, food and beverages, and exhilarating entertainment will provide a night to remember! This event will be benefiting Responder Rescue and Athletes and Entertainers- Circle of Influence, who will be directing their proceeds to Children s Tumor Foundation!
