Young Investigator Award Pre-Application Due: February 4 PDF Print E-mail

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE YIA PROGRAM FOR 2011:
The YIA application process is now in two stages:

1. YIA Pre-Application: this MUST be submitted by anyone wishing to be considered for a 2011 YIA. Pre-Applications will be reviewed by members of the CTF Research Advisory Board (RAB).  Based on this review, you will be notified whether or not you are invited to submit a Full Application, in which will be emailed to you along with the invitation to apply. 

Deadline: 5PM EST, February 4, 2011
Submission: Please submit completed YIA Pre-application via email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by 5PM EST, February 4, 2011.
 
2. YIA Full Application: Only those who receive an invitation from CTF may submit a YIA Full Application. Unsolicited Full Applications will NOT be reviewed.

Deadline: 5PM EST, April 8, 2011
Submission: TBA

Eligibility to Submit a YIA Pre-Application (please see page 6 on Pre-Application for complete applicant eligibility):
1. Applicants may be postdoctoral fellows up to 7 years after receipt of their first doctoral degree focused on NF and pursuing a career in NF research.
2. Exceptional pre-doctoral students pursuing projects focused on NF may apply.  Note: it is expected that pre-doctoral applicants will write the application independently, with only limited assistance from their mentor.
3. YIA research may focus on any aspect of NF1, NF2 or schwannomatosis, and may include basic, translational or clinical research.
