Tips for Fundraising

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Fundraising!!!!!

When you join NF Endurance Team (NFE), you are gaining access to all of the resources and benefits of the NF Endurance Program. NFE is the largest CTF national program funding NF research. Funds raised advance critical NF research and the search for a cure.

You have the power to fulfill a dream and make a difference. By participating in one of our endurance events of your choice, you have a wonderful opportunity to not only honor friends and loved ones with NF, but to raise funds to support the CTF mission to bring patients new treatments and find a cure for NF.

We have seen from experience that many team members may, with a good effort, reach a fundraising goal of between $1200 and $1500 with our guidance and tools. We ask that all team members seek a fundraising goal that is personally achievable, energizing, and rewarding. A suggested minimum to help cover team costs and insure that our team meets our vital and significant fundraising goals is $600.

We do offer incentives to activate, stretch, and reward fundraisers. Race entry and apparel incentives are available, and at higher ‘aspirational’ levels we offer travel and lodging to the team event of your choice (some travel restrictions may apply).

To put your fundraising into perspective, a Drug Discovery Initiative Award (one of our signature programs to seed fund preclinical testing of compounds to treat NF) are $15,000 each for in vitro testing and $30,000 each for in vivo testing of candidate NF drugs.

We have easy and effective tools and tips to help you reach your fundraising minimum and goals. We also have a GREAT track record of helping our team members get there. We know the “power of your story.” You can be confident that if you follow our advice and strategies you will reach your goal and enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful fundraising effort. Matching Gifts

Many employers throughout the United States have programs to match the charitable contributions of their employees. These programs can double and sometimes even triple your gift. Generally all gifts to the Foundation are eligible for matching gifts depending on your employer's program. It usually only requires a simple form that should be sent to the Foundation along with your contribution. Check with your human resources or benefits office to find out if your employer will match your donation. These gifts are simple and convenient ways to benefit the work of the Foundation.
