Brandon Tibbets was born with NF 1. He has a bone deformity in his leg due to his NF. His bone fractured on its own when he started putting weight on his leg. The bone didn't heal on its own so surgery was suggested. He has had three surgies to try to correct his leg. The first one was a Vasculized Fibular Graft. They removed the bone that was affected by his NF and replaced it with bone from his other leg. So far he has been in a cast for a little over 1 year. We are hoping that his last procedure worked and that once he has completely healed he can start wearing his leg brace. He has been through a lot for such a little guy but he is such a great boy and keeps moving without complaints or having his cast stop him from doing anything. It is such an inspiration to watch him play and be happy after everything he has gone through.
