UT - Kala Schvaneveldt PDF Print E-mail

My name is Kala Schvaneveldt. I am 16 years old, and when I was 7 years old I was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type one. I have a tumor on my optic nerve and many cafe-au-lait spots and some plexiform tumors on my body. I also have a learning disability. It is hard for me to learn, but that doesn't stop me from doing my best in school. I am also smaller than most people my age, I love hanging out with my friends and once a year I get to go to a camp for NF kids. I love going there and seeing my friends, it's a great opportunity and I would love to earn enough money for me and my family to be able to go to the race for research and raise money so we can find a cure for neurofibromatosis. I know we can all work together to do this, if you donate money to me, we can all help find a cure for this disorder and help more people with NF. Thanks for all your support.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
