What is Racing4Research?
Racing4Research raises money to benefit neurofibromatosis research through corporate sponsorship, individual donations, and fundraising by our NF Heroes. With more than just winning in mind, the Children's Tumor Foundation Porsche GT3 team will race to help raise awareness and find a cure for neurofibromatosis.  As of June 2011, Racing4Research has raised more than $1.4M for NF research.

What is neurofibromatosis?
Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, including the brain and spinal cord. NF can lead to blindness, deafness, chronic pain, bone abnormalities, cancer, and a wide range of additional complications. NF affects more than one in every 3,000 children born, more than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington’s disease combined. NF affects people of all races and ethnic origins and half of all cases arise in families with no history of the disorder.

What is the Children's Tumor Foundation?
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is the leading non-government funding source of neurofibromatosis research in the world.  In addition to advancing research toward treatments and a cure for NF the Foundation supports persons with NF and their families by providing thorough and accurate information; assisting in the development of clinical centers and best practices to improve access to quality health care; and expanding public awareness of NF to improve diagnoses, increase understanding of the challenges that NF presents, and encourage support of NF research. The Foundation has been awarded Charity Navigator’s four-star rating, the nation’s premier independent charity evaluator, indicating that the Children’s Tumor Foundation executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America.

Where does the money go?
Our drivers underwrite the cost of the race car so that donations go toward funding much needed NF research and patient support at our more than 43 NF Clinics nationwide.

Can I enjoy the race with the CTF Team in Daytona?
