CTF is pleased to announce its support of the REiNS (Response Evaluation in Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis) Initiative.

REiNS is an international effort to develop new standardized response criteria for determining treatment response in patients with NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis.  Response criteria will continue to be modified as we gain experience in clinical trials for NF.  We hope these criteria will be incorporated into future clinical trials and will improve our ability to determine and compare treatment efficacy.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation supports research directed at finding treatments for neurofibromatosis (NF), and strives to provide access to appropriate clinical care for those living with NF.

The Children's Tumor Foundation invites clinics in the United States that see neurofibromatosis (NF) patients to join the Foundation's NF Clinic Network (NFCN). Overseen by the Foundation's Clinical Care Advisory Board (CCAB) and Medical Affairs Committee (MAC), the NFCN recognizes clinics that provide appropriate NF care through implementation of current consensus clinical care guidelines for NF.

Looking ahead, NFCN aims to improve clinical care for those living with NF1, NF2, or schwannomatosis, promote information sharing between those providing medical care to the NF population, and integrate NF clinical care and current NF research efforts.
