Clinical Research Awards Announced
Responding to the evolving needs of NF research, the Clinical Research Awards program is intended to support early stage pilot clinical trials of candidate therapeutics for the treatment of manifestations of NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis. In addition, these awards are available to support innovative clinical trial enabling studies.
It is hoped that applications for Clinical Research Awards will be broad-thinking novel ideas. Examples of projects encouraged may include but are not limited to:
- Preclinical/clinical collaborative studies. Note that all studies must include a clinical element – preclinical-only studies are not eligible.
- As it was with the Clinical Trial Awards, applications to fund pilot clinical trials are welcomed and encouraged.
- Clinical enabling studies such as biomarker and patient stratification that may better inform and help accelerate a clinical trial.
It is anticipated that CTF will fund up to three Clinical Research Awards of up to $150,000 (including overheads/indirect costs).
Please Note: The signed patent policy must be included at time of submission.
