Shine a Light NF Walk is the signature fundraising event of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Our goal is to spread awareness of neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis – genetic conditions that collectively affect more than 4 million people worldwide – and raise critical funds to advance research and treatments. Held in communities across the US, Shine a Light NF Walks are family-friendly events where NF patients, families, and friends can connect with others on a similar journey.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation NF Endurance Team gives participants the opportunity to run, bike, or swim in endurance events across the country. Get a guaranteed spot in premier and often sold-out races, participate in running or cycling events around the world, take on a new challenge with an obstacle course or triathlon…you can even “Choose Your Own Challenge” and pick any adventure you’d like to tackle to benefit CTF.
Cupid’s Undie Run is a mile(ish) fun run in which brightly adorned, underwear-clad team members run outdoors (in February) for NF awareness. Cupid’s Undie Run is not a race – there are no timing chips or race bibs, and there are no winners (except NF research funded through our efforts)! Participants enjoy mingling and music before the run and an epic dance party to celebrate after.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation’s annual patient and family conference, the NF Summit, brings together NF patients and families, volunteers, event organizers, researchers, clinicians, advocates, and supporters.
The next NF Summit will be June 19-21, 2025 in Washington, DC.
Dancing With Our Stars events feature local community members and are annual entertaining galas in their communities.
Celebrity card sharks, NF families, and supporters across the country join together to raise funds for NF research – all in pursuit of the grand prize, a seat at the tables of the World Series of Poker.
Raise awareness and share information about CTF’s commitment to expanding the drug pipeline and accelerating treatments for NF2-related schwannomatosis.
