NF & SWN Diagnosis App for Healthcare Providers

The Children’s Tumor Foundation NF & SWN Diagnosis App is designed to support healthcare providers who may not be NF experts as a useful tool for treating patients considered for a diagnosis of NF, including neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and all types of schwannomatosis (SWN), which includes NF2-related schwannomatosis (NF2-SWN). With a special focus on the 2021 and 2022 updates to the diagnostic criteria, the NF & SWN Diagnosis App compiles the most relevant, evidence-based diagnostic guidelines from multiple sources into a single tool and places them at the clinician’s fingertips.

This free app is a tool for medical professionals, clinicians, genetic counselors, medical students, and general practitioners who may see patients living with NF or SWN. This mobile app is the easiest way to reference the 2021 and 2022 updates to the diagnostic criteria and will be your first source for future diagnostic updates and important news from the NF community.

Only a medical professional can confirm a diagnosis. This mobile app is a tool and not a replacement for diagnostic assessment and medical management from a healthcare provider.

About the NF Care and NF & SWN Diagnosis App

The NF & SWN Diagnosis App is the result of a collaboration with Lauren and Patrick Childers of Zimmdot, LLC, who presented their concept and prototype for the app at the 2020 virtual Hackathon. Not only do the Childers have experience in creating apps for the medical community, but they have a deeply personal interest in creating such a tool for the NF community, as their youngest daughter lives with NF1.

The NF Care App has been funded in partnership with Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation values patient privacy, and personal information and healthcare data are used solely for the app experience and never shared with third parties. Click Here to view our Privacy Policy.
