Madeleine K Franchi, MS, LCGC, Genetic Counselor, NF Clinic at UF College of Medicine, University of Florida Health Jacksonville

Madeleine Franchi, MS, LCGC, is a pediatric genetic counselor at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Madeleine received a MS degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022.

Pamela Trapane, MD, MME, Pediatric Genetics, Director of NF Clinic at UF College of Medicine, University of Florida Health Jacksonville

Dr. Pamela Trapane is a Professor and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Genetics and director of the NF Clinic at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. She helped establish and lead the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at the Medical College of Wisconsin and at the University of Iowa. She is the director of the Neurofibromatosis Clinic in Jacksonville, serving children and adults in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. She received her MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and completed a Pediatric Residency and Medical Genetics Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. In addition, she completed a Master of Medical Education at the University of Iowa. Dr. Trapane has been a member of the CCAB since 2017.

This series offers case-based learning and discussion facilitated by leading NF clinicians.  Each session focuses on different manifestations of neurofibromatosis and/or schwannomatosis (NF/SWN).  Participants are encouraged to ask questions and contribute to the conversations.
