Stories of NF: Colin C.

By April 18, 2018December 5th, 2023NF1, Story of NF

Colin was 6 years old when he was diagnosed with NF1. Colin is now 10 and is a diehard NY Jets and Michigan Wolverine fan. When he is not outside playing with his friends, you can usually catch him playing Madden 18 on the X-box. He is also a thrill seeker and will go on just about any ride out there. Colin does have to have annual MRIs and eye exams to monitor developing tumors, but luckily, he continues to live a normal child’s life, playing baseball, swimming, and spending time with his friends. While he does have some learning disabilities, it doesn’t stop him from doing really well in school.

Since Colin’s diagnosis, we have become incredibly involved with the Cupid’s Undie Run and the Children’s Tumor Foundation, raising money for research. Two years ago, we created our team, Colin Courageous, which, thanks to all our family and friends, now represents in both Charlotte and New York City. Additionally, we began hosting our annual golf outing which has so far successfully raised over $200,000.
