I was diagnosed with NF1 at birth. My father had it as well and my parents raised me to not let NF get in the way of anything, and I’ve always lived each day like it was my last. The surgeries that I have had has limited the things I can do but I’ve found ways around that and I don’t let it get me down.
When I was told I was no longer able to do certain things, I’ve proved them wrong every time. My first surgery I had was in 2011 and I’ve never let all the surgeries hold me back.
I’m a stay at home mom taking care of three boys, out of all the jobs I’ve had it’s my favorite. I’m glad I’m able to be there for them. I’m trying to try out this whole influencer thing and show people with NF you can do anything you want and that NF doesn’t define you.
